The Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing (LiPS) Program develops phonemic awareness for competence in reading, spelling, and speech. Weak phonemic awareness can cause problems in spelling and decoding, when students may add, omit, substitute, or reverse sounds and letters within words.
The LiPS Program was originally published as the Auditory Discrimination in Depth (ADD) Program, authored by Charles Lindamood and Patricia Lindamood, the late cofounder of Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes. The revised third edition of the program includes the contributions of their daughter Phyllis Lindamood.
The LiPS Program has been used in Lindamood-Bell® Learning Centers and School Services partnerships since 1986.
LiPS Program materials are published by PRO-ED, Inc., an educational publisher, and are available directly from Gander Publishing.
